Random things about me!

I haven’t really posted anything that would tell my readers about me, so I’m deciding to change that! Here goes!

My name is Megan, but people closest to me call me Meg.

I’m a 20-something, living in Illinois.

I have my Bachelors of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences. I’ve also started my Masters of Science in the same field, but haven’t taken classes in a few years. I think when I go back to take classes, I will be switching majors to Social Work.

I love to cook and bake. It has always been a dream of mine to go to culinary school. I’d love to own and run a coffee shop-bakery-bookstore combo.

I’ve recently gotten into “beauty products” more. I get Ipsy and Birchbox and love trying new things! However, I am HORRIBLE at beauty related stuff. I suck at putting on make up. I can sometimes make my hair look decent.

I shaved part of my head. Why you ask? Because I wanted to. I absolutely LOVED it. I’m growing my hair out now and it makes me sad.

If you asked my younger sister to describe my style, she would tell you that it was “eccentric” and “eclectic”. I love items with skulls, stars, owls, unicorns, stripes, chevrons.

I love wearing cardigans. I have one in almost every color.  I also hate wearing “real” shoes. And my “real” shoes, I mean like gym shoes. I usually just wear moccasins or TOMS styled shoes. This is year round, even in the winter with snow on the ground. Did I mention that I hate snow?

Fall is my favorite season. I love the crisp air. The beautiful colors all around you. Bonfires. Pumpkin everything!

I have a dog, a beagle named Charlie. She’s a girl. I also have a turtle, named Chata, who I believe is a boy.

I have an amazing boyfriend. We’ve been together for 14 months. I couldn’t be happier. He is the best.

My family is everything.

I haven’t really gotten into the routine of blogging consistently yet. I really want to change that.
