Oils are all the rage now-a-days. Whether it’s oil to clean your face, oil for your hair, or oil as a moisturizer. I was given the chance to review Dr. Song’s rosehip oil and I couldn’t have been more excited! Dr Song Medical is a medical cosmetic laboratory that originally manufactured products for professionals, doctors, and medical facilities. Dr Song Medical products are made in the USA and is FDA compliant and a provider of professional products.  This oil is extracted from rose bush seeds, using a special process to preserve its natural cosmetic qualities, which includes containing high amounts of essential fatty acids.  This oil is an all natural luxurious and lightweight moisturizer. Quickly absorbs and deeply penetrates to heal, nourish and hydrate. Also used topically for wrinkles, scars, stretch marks, rashes, burns, acne scars, dry skin, dermatitis, age spots, brittle nails, psoriasis, eczema, hyper-pigmentation, radiation and sun damage, dry & damaged hair, anti-inflammatory. I couldn’t wait to dive in and try all of the uses!

First off, the bottle this comes in is HUGE! It is a 4 oz bottle. While that may not seem like it’s a lot, it is! I was surprised at how big it was compared to other bottles of oils and serums I have. The oil has a slight smell, but it’s nothing that would make me not want to use the product. It isn’t overwhelming. I started using the oil by just rubbing some into the skin on my hands. I live in Illinois and around this time of year when the weather changes, my hands are always the first thing to get super dry! In the past, I would have to constantly put on lotion for any type of relief. This oil is a blessing! I will rub just a few drops on my hands and they instantly feel the relief! I was worried at first that it would make my skin feel oily, since it’s an oil, but that isn’t the case. My skin soaks up all of the goodness. This oil is also great for your hair. My hair has gone through the ringer. I color it. I heat style it daily. I’ve put some slightly warmed up oil on my hair and let it set for at least 15 minutes before showering. I then wash my hair like normal. The oil leaves my hair feeling so soft and silky. The shine is amazing! I’ve also used this with some shea butter that I have. I will mix the oil, the shea butter and maybe an essential oil for scent all together. I then use it as a lotion. This mixture I have been using on my ghetto feet. It’s definitely made them softer! There are SOO MANY USES for rosehip oil!! You can find a ton of ideas on Google or Pinterest. I seriously can’t imagine not having this oil to use! It is awesome! I totally recommend trying this stuff out, especially since winter is right around the corner. You can get this awesome oil here: Dr Song Rosehip Oil 4oz (4 oz).

Do you use rosehip oil? Or any other oils? If so, what are your favorites? I’d love to hear them!
