I had the opportunity to review Dr. Song’s lactic acid face peel. This was some what “scary” at first because it is professional grade and it can cause burns! It is advised to try this on a small spot of your skin to do a sensitivity test. If your skin doesn’t have a poor reaction, it is safe to use. It is advised that you start out with one minute and work your way up with your next peels. You should only do one peel a week.
When I applied the peel, it does burn a little bit, like a slight sting. My face did turn red, super red. Even before I removed the peel. To remove, you just use water. The water will neutralize the acid. My skin felt very dry after this. It really is hard for me to give a good judgement about this product. I’ve only used it about 3 or 4 times (since you have to wait a week between uses). I haven’t noticed any results really. My skin isn’t any better. As I stated before, it did make my face really dry. I don’t know. I am going to continue to use it to see if I get any results. If you are interested in trying this out, you can purchase it here: Dr Song 50% Lactic Acid Gel Peel (Professional)
